Google Documents: Advantages & Disadvantages

Here is a list of Advantages and Disadvantages for Google Documents software provided by Google.com:

Advantages:

• Works with most file formats (word, excel, .odu, etc)
• Can compile and decompress .PDFs
• You can share work with others easily.
• A good location to back up small sized documents
• Can track changes to a document.

Disadvantages:

• Users must either have a Gmail account or make a google docs account to use.
• Some obscure file formats are still not supported.
• Must be connected to internet.
• Speed of google documents greatly depends on speed of internet connection.
• Sometimes can cause issues with firewalls when downloading/uploading documents.
